John F. Gerry

Born in Camden, New Jersey, Gerry received an Artium Baccalaureus degree, magna cum laude, from Princeton University in 1950.

He was in the United States Army Air Corps from 1944 to 1946.

He was in private practice of law with the firm of Wallace, Douglass & Gerry in Camden from 1953 to 1972.

[1][2] Gerry was nominated by President Gerald Ford on November 18, 1974, to a seat on the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey vacated by Judge James Aloysius Coolahan.

[1] His service was terminated on March 10, 1995, due to his death of liver cancer in his home in Moorestown Township, New Jersey.
