John Henry Land (June 12, 1918 – November 30, 2011) was an American judge, lawyer, and politician.
After a short stint in private law practice, Land was drafted into the United States Army in 1941, at the onset of World War II, rising through the ranks to the position of major.
During his time in the state senate, Land became known as a "fierce critic" of Governor Herman Talmadge.
Three years later, a new governor, Marvin Griffin appointed Land to the position of chief prosecutor.
His nephew Ted Land served on the city council for a time, before a long career in the Georgia State Senate.
