John Louis Hayden (November 2, 1866 – February 22, 1936) was a United States Army officer in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
His father was an American Civil War veteran who served in the 19th Illinois Volunteer Infantry.
From the latter location, Hayden was detached to serve in the Ghost Dance War in command of the Hotchkiss revolving cannon.
[5][3] Hayden was promoted to the rank of brigadier general on August 5, 1917, and in September, he commanded the 56th Field Artillery Brigade.
[5] Hayden married Myra Lord on June 6, 1894, and they had two sons together, both of them becoming U.S. Army officers.
