Harris grew up in West Hartford and graduated from Hall High School and later from Brandeis University.
Congressman Barbara Kennelly before earning a Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law.
He was endorsed by U.S. Rep. John B. Larson (D-CT) and West Hartford mayor Scott Slifka.
