Joseph B. Payne

Joseph B. Payne (died March 5, 1968) was an American politician from Maryland.

He served in the Maryland House of Delegates, representing Frederick County from 1935 to 1939, from 1947 to 1959 and from 1961 to 1967.

He served during World War I and received the Purple Heart.

[1][3] In 1961, he was appointed as a state delegate to fill the vacancy left by Charles Mathias.

[2] Payne died on March 5, 1968, aged 72, at Newton D. Baker Hospital in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
