Julia Cencig (born 18 September 1972) is an Austrian actress active mainly in television and theater, her main roles on the small screen include those in the series Medicopter 117 - Jedes Leben zählt, SOKO Kitzbühel and Das Glück dieser Erde.
She's the younger sister of director Michael Cencig, it was her brother who made her debut as a child in the world of cinema, assigning her the leading role in the first film he directed.
Later she decided to become an actress, and after graduating she attended the acting school of the Volkstheater in Vienna, after which she was engaged in the company of the same theatre.
[6][7] Subsequently, in 2011 she was part of the main cast of the series Das Glück dieser Erde, where she played the role of Birgit Gross.
[9] This role earned her a nomination in the Prix Romy Schneider for favorite actress in a television series.
