Julius D. Canns

Julius Canns was first elected to the Vermont State Senate on November 3, 1992 and served until his death.

He went on to receive a certificate of completion from New York University, training in electronics from Delehanty Institute in 1948, and an LLB from La Salle Extension University in 1965.

He moved to St. Johnsbury, Vermont in 1958, where he operated a television store.

He was married to Mary Canns, and had one daughter, Sharon, and two sons, Gary and Ronald.

[1] In World War II he volunteered for the Marine Corps and served in the Pacific, attaining the rank of Gunnery Sergeant.
