She holds a Master of Philosophy in Religious Studies with a focus on the Ethics of Religion, as well as a Bachelor of Education (Arts), all of which she earned from the University of Cape Coast.
[5] From 1995 to 2000, Owusu-Banahene dedicated her efforts to the Ghana Education Service, where she worked as a teacher at Addokpe Junior Secondary School.
In 2018, contested as a candidate for the position of 2nd Vice Chairperson in the Regional Executives Elections of which lost to Joseph Mensah.
[8] Owusu-Banahene served as a member of the Bono Regional Campaign Team for both the 2016 and 2020 general elections.
[9] She held the position as the Vice President of the Danquah-Busia Club at Atebubu Training College in 1995 and later at Acheresua Secondary School in 1992.
