K. Chidananda Gowda (born 15 June 1942) is an Indian academic who served as the Vice-Chancellor of the Kuvempu University, which is located in the state of Karnataka, India.
He continued his studies and obtained a Master's degree in Engineering from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda in 1969.
[5] During his tenure as the Vice-Chancellor, he had to face tough situations like the allegation that the University colleges were being used as a training centre for Naxalites.
[7] He also was responsible for starting new departments of business administration, microbiology, biochemistry in the University.
