Kailasa Venkata Ramiah (20 October 1926 – 17 December 1994) was an educationist from Andhra Pradesh, India.
[2] He is recipient of the Sir Akbar Hyderi Gold medal and several awards during his career both as student and later as an academician.
He finished his PhD in record time and later his research was in quantum mechanics and Raman effect.
He is the first person from the present Telangana to be the member of Union Public Service Commission[5] during the period 1981-87.
He also served on Satish Chandra[6] panel for review on UPSC (Civil Services) selection process.
