Kampong Sungai Besar

Kampong Sungai Besar (Malay: Kampung Sungai Besar) or commonly known as Sungai Besar, is a village in the east of Brunei-Muara District, Brunei, near the mouth of the Brunei River with the Brunei Bay.

[2] The village is the location of an end of Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Bridge, the bridge which connects mainland Brunei with the Temburong District exclave.

It is one of the villages along Jalan Kota Batu, a road which links Bandar Seri Begawan along the banks of the Brunei River to Jalan Muara which leads to Muara town.

Kampong Sungai Besar Mosque is the village mosque; it was inaugurated on 1 January 1984 by the then Minister of Education.
