Kanashsky District (Russian: Кана́шский райо́н; Chuvash: Канаш районӗ, Kanaş rayonĕ) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the twenty-one in the Chuvash Republic, Russia.

The area of the district is 981.4 square kilometers (378.9 sq mi).
