Kashiba (香芝市, Kashiba-shi) is a city located in Nara Prefecture, Japan.
The city spreads out over an alluvial fan at the eastern foot of Mount Nijō.
The town of Kashiba was established on April 1, 1956 by the merger of villages of Goido, Shimoda, Futagami, and Shitomi in Kitakatsuragi District.
Kashiba has a mayor-council form of government with a directly elected mayor and a unicameral city council of 16 members.
In terms of national politics, the town is part of the Nara 2nd district of the lower house of the Diet of Japan.
