Kate Holbrook

[3] Her father left the family six weeks after she was born,[4] and she was raised by her mother and grandmother, Belle Fillmore Stewart.

After serving as an LDS Church missionary in Samara, Russia, she studied at Brigham Young University (BYU).

[8] This includes prayers offered by women in the church's general conferences, and leadership assignments on executive councils.

[10] In 2017, At the Pulpit: 185 Years of Discourses by Latter-Day Saint Women, which was co-edited by Holbrook and Reeder, was published to document public prayers and preaching of 54 women—including biographical information and the context of the material.

[13] The book consists of five essays examining a series of seemingly contrary ideas that Holbrook suggests Latter-day Saints hold in tension as they navigate their faith.
