Khndzristan, Nagorno-Karabakh

Khndzristan (Armenian: Խնձրիստան) or Almaly (Azerbaijani: Almalı) is a village in the Khojaly District of Azerbaijan, in the region of Nagorno-Karabakh.

[4] In the past, part of the village's population came from the now-ruined nearby settlement called Bren Shen.

[4] In 1772, an oil press was founded in the village, the stones of which were later used to build a silken goods factory.

[4] During the Soviet period, the village was a part of the Askeran District of the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast.

As of 2015, the village has a municipal building, a house of culture, a secondary school, a kindergarten, two shops and a medical centre.
