Kikuo Arakawa

He is a Professor Emeritus at Fukuoka University and the 12th President of the International Society of Hypertension.

He is from Sueyoshi Town (now Soo City), Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan.

[4] He had been to America to study under Dr. Irvine Page at the Cleveland Clinic from July 1958 to August 1961.

[1] He made studies of angiotensin receiving the grant of the American National Institutes of Health[1] and succeeded in isolation and structure determination of a human angiotensin for the first time in the world in 1966.

[1] His work contributed to the proof of the effectiveness of exercise therapy for hypertension.
