Kirinia epaminondas is a Palaearctic[2] butterfly of the family Nymphalidae.
[1] Kirinia epaminondas occurs in the Amur Oblast and Primorsky Krai of the Russian Far East,[2] as well as in East China, Korea and Japan.
[3][1] The habitat of K. epaminondas consists of dry, thin forests[4] and shrubby habitats.
[1] Host plants include Brachypodium spp.,[3] Poa ochotensis[3] and Poa angustifolia.
[3] Butterflies are on wing in July and August.
