Kosenivka

Kosenivka, in Ukraine, is the site of an ancient mega-settlement belonging to the Cucuteni–Trypillia culture dating to 3800–3600BC[1].

The settlement was very large, covering an area of 80 hectares (200 acres).

This proto-city is just one of 2,440 Cucuteni–Trypillia settlements discovered so far in Moldova and Ukraine.

[2] This site has gained importance as the remains of seven individuals were found in a burnt house.

[1] This finding helps to better estimate the number of inhabitants in individual settlements and the entire Cucuteni–Trypillia-culture.
