The station consists of two opposed side platforms on a slight viaduct, connected by a level crossing.
With the privatization of the Japanese National Railways (JNR) on 1 April 1987, the station came under the control of JR West.
In fiscal 2019, the station was used by an average of 75 passengers daily[2] Located in a residential area and countryside, there are no commercial facilities in the surrounding area.
