Kushtia Municipal Museum

Prasanta Chatterjee, the then Mayor of Kolkata Municipal Corporation, inaugurated the museum.

Earlier the museum was the kachari house of zamindar Satish Saha of Kushtia.

The building was built during the British period but the exact year of construction is not known.

However, the design of the crown and parapet above the pediment of the building is Indian style The museum has paper currency of 15 countries, British period of India, Mughal and Sultanate period metal coins, terracotta artefacts, terracotta plaques used in the decoration of various temples, black granite stone Krishnamurti, small twin idols, a black stone plate and a pot.

A century-old calling bell, a cast-stone jaanta, a pocket watch, a haman dasta, an old computer, several newspapers of Bangladesh's independence war and a total of 32 bound photographs of famous people of Kushtia district are housed in the museum.
