In 1923, the school moved to its current campus on Union Avenue to accommodate the increased enrollment.
In 2023, after the 100 year anniversary of the main building on Union Ave, construction began again to remodel and replace locker rooms, bathrooms, and other outdated components.
Classes are weighted with the following multipliers: AP, 5.0; Honors, 4.5; CCR (College and Career Ready), 4.0; Foundations, 4.0.
Clubs often hold many events and fundraisers throughout the year, including the following; Sports were first introduced at Laconia in 1923 with the move to Union Avenue.
With the 6-acre (24,000 m2) campus and the new building equipped with a gymnasium, the school was able to offer football, basketball, and baseball for men during the fall, winter, and spring months, respectively.
The Sachems Football team won the NH Division IV finals against Hanover in the fall of 2007, 35-14, to complete their undefeated 11-0 season and their first championship since 1999.
