The group is working to again operate trikes in the railway yard on weekends, hopefully in the near future.[when?]

[3] The district which was formally called Alfredtown was changed after the community petitioned to rename it Ladysmith, In honour of Sarah Ann Smith (née Apps) wife of Charles Thomas Smith both resided at “Green Meadow” for all the work the family did within their community.

[citation needed] Allredtown remained in use as the name of a nearby locality.

[4] Ladysmith is also the name of a South African town that was the site of the Battle of Ladysmith, in late October 1899, and the Siege of Ladysmith, from 2 November 1899 to 28 February 1900, during the Second Boer War, a war in which troops from New South Wales were participating by November 1899.
