Lake Kaco

The lake is part of the Kerinci Seblat National Park area, located within a rainforest region at an elevation of 1,229 m (4,032 ft), in the Bukit Barisan mountain range.

[2] The most scientifically plausible explanation suggests that certain mineral contents in the lake's sediments contribute to this cyan coloration.

The natural blue color in this water serves as an indicator of the ecosystem's quality and the condition of the river basin.

Since the mahseer fish (Tor douronensis) is quite common in Lake Kaco, an alternative hypothesis has emerged.

However, further research is needed to gain a deeper understanding of the reasons behind this cyan color and its nighttime shimmer in Lake Kaco.
