Lake Nyabihoko

[1][2] According to local legend, Lake Nyabihoko's creation is attributed to a series of events involving Mutuumo, a prosperous Muhima cattle farmer.

Visitors can hire boats or traditional dugout canoes to explore the lake, providing an opportunity to observe the diverse wildlife and bird species that inhabit the area.

[2] Lake Nyabihoko faces challenges, including the decline of fish populations due to the disappearance of surrounding swamps caused by continuous cultivation.

Efforts to preserve the lake's natural ecosystem and promote sustainable fishing practices are crucial for its long-term conservation.

[3] To reach Lake Nyabihoko, travelers can take either buses or private vehicles to Ntungamo town and then follow the route towards Rwashamaire.

This is a lake in Kyafola Village in Ntungamo District. It believed that it was whole with Kyafola Lake but later Divided.
