Laothoe austanti, the Maghreb poplar hawkmoth, is a moth of the family Sphingidae.
It is known from the Atlas Mountains and coastal plains of Morocco, northern Algeria and Tunisia and the neighbouring desert areas.
It is larger and generally paler than similar Laothoe populi.
There are usually two generations per year, with adults on wing from April to May and again from July to August.
The amended epithet, austauti, is preserved as "an unjustified emendation is in prevailing usage" under Article 33.2.3.1 of the ICZN Code.
