Saranskoe

Saranskoe, Saranskoye (Russian: Сара́нское; German: Laukischken, Лаукишкен; Lithuanian: Laukiška; Polish: Łaukiszki) is a rural locality (selo) in Kaliningrad Oblast.

It lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) east of Polessk.

In 1454, the region was incorporated by King Casimir IV Jagiellon to the Kingdom of Poland upon the request of the anti-Teutonic Prussian Confederation.

In the late 19th century, the village had a population of 416, entirely Lithuanian-speaking and Lutheran by confession.

[7] Following World War II, it passed to the Soviet Union.
