Laxmi Giri (née Paudel; born 19 January 1955) is a Nepalese actress whose career spans more than 35 years.

[1][2][3] She worked on stage, television and in feature films of Nepali, Newari, Maithili, Tamang[4] and Bhojpuri languages.

[2] She was born in Devpatan, Kathmandu on 19 January 1955 (6 Magh 2011 BS) to Ujeli Adhikari and her husband Muktinath Paudel.

[3] Her family was not appreciative of her choice to leave a secure government job to pursue a career in acting.
