Leander Øy

Leander Øy (born 24 October 2003) is a Norwegian football goalkeeper who plays for Sarpsborg 08.

In the summer of 2019 he was brought from IL Jotun to Sarpsborg 08, having been spotted in training for the alternate youth national team.

[1][2] He attended St. Olav Upper Secondary School and played for the junior team, but when he started training with Sarpsborg 08's first team in early 2021, he was not allowed to attend school due to the COVID-19 protocols.

In July 2022, he suddenly got his first team debut when Anders Kristiansen was unavailable and reserve Simen Vidtun Nilsen was sent off.
