Smith, 1882 Leiocithara opalina is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Mangeliidae.
The ovate-fusiform shell has a pale reddish to white color.
The narrow aperture measures about half the total length of the shell.
The outer lip is without teeth and has in the middle a small reddish spot and is slightly sinuate at the top.
The entire surface is finely reticulated by the wavy lines of growth and spiral striations; but these are not visible under an ordinary lens.
