Owned by SteelAsia, it is set to become the first steel beam manufacturing plant in the Philippines upon its completion in 2023.
The two companies signed a memorandum of understanding on August 30, 2019, to develop an integrated iron and steel facility in Lemery, Batangas during the Philippine-China Business Forum, a side event of President Rodrigo Duterte's diplomatic visit to China.

The plant is expected to be run by 1,500 employees and have a capacity to produce 1.1 million tons of steel products annually.
