Levelek is a large village in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county, in the Northern Great Plain region of eastern Hungary.
It covers an area of 25.73 km2 (10 sq mi) and has a population of 2950 people (2015).
[2] The village is very old, perhaps having been formed around the time of the Hungarian Conquest of the Carpathian Basin.
As of 2022, the town was 91.7% Hungarian, 3.1% Gypsy, and 1.5% of non-European origin.
