Li Xiaopeng (banker)

He was a member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

[1] Born in Henan in May 1959, Li graduated from Wuhan University, with a PhD in economics.

Li worked at Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, and finally became executive director in October 2010.

In December 2017, he succeeded Tang Shuangning as party secretary and chairman of China Everbright Group Co., Ltd., serving in the post until his retirement in March 2022.

[2] On 5 April 2023, he was suspected of "serious violations of laws and regulations" by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI), the party's internal disciplinary body, and the National Supervisory Commission, the highest anti-corruption agency of China.
