Liam Fairhurst (26 February 1995 – 30 June 2009) was a British charity fundraiser who had been diagnosed with synovial sarcoma.
Born in Soham, Cambridgeshire, Fairhurst began charity work after his friend, Jack Wilkinson, died of cancer in 2006, aged 12.
He decided to raise money for a holiday home in Yorkshire for families living with childhood cancer.
After Fairhurst's death, Brown said: "Liam was a courageous young man who showed immense bravery in the face of his illness.
It was a privilege to meet him - his dedication as a fundraiser was an encouragement to us all and I am very proud of what Liam achieved.
