One of the busiest highways in Norway, European route E18 runs straight through the agricultural landscape of Lierskogen.
Traditionally Lierskogen has been a place dependent on farming, but after World War II many new families have moved in.
Most resident have mostly been working in nearby places like Bærum, Asker, Dikemark, Drammen and Oslo.
[1] During the second half of the 1980s two major projects were built from scratch: Liertoppen, a shopping centre and pharmaceutical company Norsk Medisinaldepot.
