Light Oak is an unincorporated area and census-designated place (CDP) in Cleveland County, North Carolina, United States.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.4 square miles (3.7 km2), all land.

As of the census[3] of 2000, there were 779 people, 240 households, and 191 families residing in the CDP.
