Limicolaria flammea is a species of tropical air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusk in the family Achatinidae.
[1] It was found as an introduced species in Tuas South, on the tropical island of Singapore, for the first time in 2006.
[1] The spread of Limicolaria flammea is potentially damaging to the multi‐billion dollar horticultural industry in Singapore.
[1] Oil palm and cocoa plantations are also mentioned as suitable habitat for Limicolaria flammea in Nigeria.
[1] In laboratory experiments, Limicolaria flammea fed readily on potato, apple, lettuce, and carrot, and it is likely that the snails are unselective phytophagous, as has been reported for its congeners.
