Liqun Zhang is the president of South China University of Technology[1] and Xi'an Jiaotong University.
[2] Zhang obtained his BS (1990), MS (1992) and PhD (1995) degrees from Beijing University of Chemical Technology.
He held a postdoctoral position at Case Western Reserve University from 2000 to 2001.
[6] Zhang is a member of the editorial board of the scientific journal Nano-Structures and Nano-Objects.
[7] His most cited work concerns the application of a Halloysite clay nanotube to achieve a delayed release of antioxidants in a rubber compound, thus achieving an enhancement to anti-ageing properties.
