The Wanyika bands refer to the various offshoots of the prominent Tanzanian/Kenyan band Simba Wanyika.
These bands were all Kenya-based, although their central leaders - Wilson Kinyonga, George Kinyonga, Omar Shabani, John Ngereza and Issa Juma - all hailed from Tanzania.
