List of civil defense ranks

Civil defense agencies and organizations are structured differently around the world.

Civil Defense is dedicated to protecting civilians from military attacks, as well as to providing rescue services after natural and human-made disasters.

*Prior to the establishment of the Queensland Fire & Emergency Service in 2013, the State Emergency Service used to have the ranks of Deputy Chief Officer and Chief Officer.
