Ljubo Wiesner

Ljubo Wiesner (February 2, 1885 in Zagreb – July 3, 1951 in Rome[1]) was a Croatian poet.

[2] He founded the publications Grič, Kritika and Savremenik.

[3] His introduction to Hrvatska mlada lirika in 1914 defined the poetic style of the followers of Matoš.

[4] Wiesner translated foreign poetry into Croatian, including works by Walt Whitman.

[6] During World War II he worked on the Berlin-based Suradnja.
