Llumpa District is one of eight districts of the Mariscal Luzuriaga Province in Peru.
[1] This district was created by Law, dated at October 28, 1889, president of Perou: Andrés A. Cáceres [2] The people in the district are mainly indigenous citizens of Quechua descent.
Quechua is the language which the majority of the population (95.92%) learnt to speak in childhood, 3.12% of the residents started speaking using the Spanish language (2007 Peru Census).
