Lockney is a town in Floyd County, Texas, United States.

According to the United States Census Bureau, Lockney has a total area of 1.5 square miles (4.0 km2), all of it land.

As of the census[9] of 2000, there were 2,056 people, 690 households, and 540 families residing in the town.

20.6% of all households were made up of individuals, and 12.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
