Lone Oak, Georgia

Lone Oak is a town in Meriwether County, Georgia, United States.

[3] The Georgia General Assembly incorporated Lone Oak as a town in 1901.

Greenville, the Meriwether county seat, is 12 miles (19 km) to the southeast via Forrest Road.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.6 square miles (1.6 km2), all land.

The town hosts the Lone Oak Arts & Crafts Festival each November.

Lone Oak Academy was built in 1870 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.
