[1] She was appointed by President Calvin Coolidge to serve as a member of the executive committee of the United States Commission for the celebration of the 200th anniversary of George Washington's birth.

[1] She married Anthony Wayne Cook on September 15, 1892, at the Methodist Episcopal Church in Cambridge, Ohio.
