Louise Renne is a lawyer, former member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors and one-time City Attorney for the City and County of San Francisco, California.
She is a graduate of both Michigan State University and Columbia Law School (1961).
Renne served in the seat until 1986, when she resigned to accept Feinstein's appointment of her as City Attorney, succeeding George Agnost to become the first female City Attorney in San Francisco history.
At one time in the early 2000s, she was the direct supervisor of Kamala Harris, who later became Vice President of the United States.
