Silveira has not only been described as a role model for other transgender singers,[13] but his covers on YouTube “enabled listening practices that reimagine engagement with contemporary musical archives and the temporality of trans experience.”[12] However, upon reflecting on this early success with a major label, he was shocked that "the band quickly hit a glass ceiling" where the "main focus wasn’t on my music.

He ends the article by congratulating Jenner as well as transgender man Aydian Dowling, but emphasizes trying "not to fall into the same pattern that others have before us and be mindful that there are so many amazing diverse people in our community who all need a voice to tell their stories.
