[1] He spent his senior season at Decatur Christian High School in Illinois, averaging 13.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game en route to being selected to play in the Illinois Premier Basketball High School All-Star Game.

[4] He scored a career high 24 points in an early season loss to Drake University while hitting eight three-pointers.

[5] Following the season, Staiger competed with the senior German national basketball team for the first time at EuroBasket 2009.

[6] On January 19, 2010, Staiger announced he was leaving Iowa State, effective immediately, to pursue a professional career in Europe.

[7] Coming out of the college, Staiger joined the German BBL team Alba Berlin.
