Lusitanops lusitanicus

Lusitanops lusitanicus[2] is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Raphitomidae.

The shell is moderately elongated, somewhat fusiform in shape, the spire well raised.

The protoconch contains three whorls, the first being almost smooth and the others decussated by arcuate riblets.

The remaining whorls are sculptured spirally by numerous flat, broad riblets, which (under a lens) are seen to be about twice as wide as their interstices, and to be crossed by lines of growth, which give them a roughened or scabrous appearance.

The columella is fairly straight above, a trifle twisted at the base, and has a light callus on its lower portion.
