The album was recorded at Playbach Studios in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and released in 2005.

This is a reference to the suburb of Mexico City where the band lived during a four-month tour in that country, which inspired them for the material in this album.

MOTA reached number 12 on the Billboard Hot Latin Albums chart, becoming one of their most commercially successful projects.
