MCC was originally established as a member of the University of Kentucky's Community College System in 1968.
MCC offers associate degree programs, as well as technical diplomas and certificates, with the overall purpose of making postsecondary educational opportunities available to Kentucky's citizens and workforce.
Plans have been approved for the construction of a new facility on the North Campus: the Brown Badgett, Sr. Advanced Energy and Technology Building.
It is located adjacent to Baptist Health Madisonville, formerly The Trover Clinic and Regional Medical Center.
The Technical Campus is scheduled to be closed upon completion of the Brown Badgett, Sr. Advanced Energy and Technology Building.
